Chrome plating for a new lease of life for existing hardware

Proline was approached by their client to re Chrome existing bath handles. These are unique in shape and size, so the logical solution was to re chrome in a polished finish. The project was for the well-known Five Lakes Hotel in Maldon.

The Brief

Our customer required existing brass handles to be Polished Chrome Plated.  These were for bathrooms in a large hotel, as part of a refurbishment project.

The Process

Polished Chrome is an electro plated finish. Electro-plating is the process for producing electro deposited finishes on to a metal surface, commonly known as “plating.” The process consists of passing an electric current between anode and a cathode through a chemical solution.
